Product Description

A virus sampling tube is a complete set of centrifuge tubes for sampling influenza virus, hand, foot, and mouth virus, and other viruses in microbial sampling and transporting tube, also known as specimen transporting tube, which has become a commercial product.

Inspection Principle
Based on Hank's, virus protectants such as BSA (bovine serum albumin group 5) and cryoprotectants are added, which can maintain the virus activity in a wide temperature range, reduce the decomposition rate of the virus and increase the positive rate of virus isolation.

Composition
Usually consists of a cartridge and/or a cup, tube, etc. containing a preservative solution. Characteristics of matching sampling swab: Flocking sampling swab: The flocking sampling head is non-toxic to cell viruses and does not contain RNA enzymes, maximizing sample collection and adsorption capacity with a high release efficiency and complete release. Suitable for oral cavity, nasopharynx, and other parts of sampling. ABS plastic rod, with unique breakable design, breaking process without small debris.

Usage
1. Select a suitable medium for transport according to sample source and test purpose;
2. Collect samples with a sampling swab according to sampling requirements.
3. Place the sample swab after sample collection into a sterile sampling tube.
4. Break the swab at the easily broken cutting point of the sampling swab rod and discard the tail.
5. Tighten the cover of the sterile sampling tube.
6. Mark information on the label of the aseptic sampling tube as required.
7. Samples shall be transported to the corresponding laboratory within 2 working days after collection, and the storage temperature shall be 2-8ºC; If the samples cannot be sent to the laboratory within 48 hours, they should be stored at -70ºC or below, and ensure that the samples collected are sent to the corresponding laboratory within 1 week. Samples should avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
8. Specific sampling methods can refer to the following:
(1) Pharyngeal swab specimens: use special sampling swabs to wipe the posterior pharyngeal wall and tonsils on both sides with moderate force, and avoid touching the tongue; Quickly dip the swab head into the sampling solution, break the swab at the easily broken cutting point of the sampling swab rod, and discard the tail. Applicable to a sampling of this Product
(2) Nasal swab specimen: with a special sampling swab, gently insert the swab head into the nasal canal at the nose and palate, stay for a moment, then slowly rotate out; Quickly dip the swab head into the sampling solution, break the swab at the easily broken cutting point of the sampling swab rod and discard the tail. Applicable to this product sampling.
